We at Fast & Friendly are excited to announce the upcoming charity gala and silent auction, 'A Moment in Monte Carlo', set to take place on Saturday, April 2, 2011.  The evening will include a dance, drinks, food, gambling (Monte money only, not real cash), a silent auction with some amazing items up for grabs, and times that won't be soon forgotten!!

As we settle more details and get our sponsors in order I will be updating everyone on how it goes!

Welcome to 2011!!

Well, I'd like to start by saying that I hope everyone had an absolutely fabulous holiday!  We've gotten through another Christmas season (alive) and are refreshed and ready to see what the year has to offer!

We've been talking about starting the blog since we incorporated and got our website up and running back in April (http://www.fastandfriendly.ca/), and one of my resolutions this year is that I'm going to git'r'done!

2010 was a great year for us here at Fast & Friendly, for the most part.  We are nestled comfortably into our new yard and office and trucks, have made some great new friends, and have managed to help out countless motorists.

For those of you who don't yet know us, let me perform some introductions. Bare with me, as I tend to babble...

Our Fearless Leader is Mark Green, known to most friends and colleages as 'Big Mark'.  Mark has been in the towing industry for many years and is one of the best in the area.  He began his towing career in the Canadian Military many moons ago, and has been towing commercially in the Burlington/ Oakville area for 7 years, and began his own company in 2005, subcontracting to other Tow companies in the area.  In April of 2010 Mark decided that he was ready to expand the company, and he's been going strong ever since.

My name is Desiree Lapierre, and I am the General Manager (and resident blogger).  I have a background in various aspects of Business Managenent and was the little voice in Mark's head telling him that he should go big with this; that he has both the talent and skill to make it on his own.  Whenever we're having a bad day I think he mentally kicks me for that.  I can see it in his eyes, lol.

Our full time light duty wrecker Tow Operator is John Stanley.  John has been towing for around 5 years, and is also our behind-the-scenes technical guru.  He has helped build our website, our surveillance system, and puts up with all my questions and frustrations with that side of things.  Thank goodness someone will!!

Our flatbed Tow Operator is Jay Berendse.  Jay has been driving the big trucks for years, and decided that he wanted to get into something smaller, closer to home, and have a chance to relax.  I think I may have kind of tricked him with the whole 'relaxing' bit, but he's great at his job and I think that now that he's gotten the taste of the chase, we might just be able to keep him busy enough to not realize how un-relaxing this industry is!

Our newest addition is Vanessa Holland.  Vanessa is my Administrative Assistant and I thank the stars pretty much every morning that we have her!  Now if I can just figure out how to get her to stay for the next 10 years....

We're all so very glad to meet you!

Make sure you follow us, and check back often.  I'll be posting relevant news, babbling about the industry, and ranting about the staff customers industry weather. (Insert evil giggle here.)

I will also be posting about any web-specials we are running, so you never know, you just might be able to save yourself some moolah!

Until next time my friends...
